Relics & Prayer Wall

Below: a small selection of the Sanctuary's catalogued artifacts of His earthly walk. After: the Prayer Wall, where the faithful may leave a brief supplication, in His name.

Relics

Accession 001

The Original Cowboys Hat

Recovered from a closet in Irving, c. 2019. Brim worn at the front from frequent forward adjustment during periods of "dang, they again." Preserved under museum-grade glass; not currently rotated for the season.

Accession 014

The Whataburger Wrapper of First Communion

A pristine paper sleeve, faintly translucent at the grease points. Provenance attested by photograph. The Sanctuary treats this artifact as the primary referent of the gallery's central panel.

Accession 022

The Disputed Dakota Birth Certificate

Sealed. Held in a vault to which only the archivist has the key, and that archivist no longer takes calls. Both states have submitted Freedom of Information requests; both have been politely declined.

Accession 037

The Glass Salsa Vessel (Mild)

A standard 16-ounce jar. Empty. Recovered with tortilla fragments. Of liturgical significance: it is "mild" only because the household was, that week, accommodating company.

Accession 044

Fragment of the LA Cap (Veil)

A single thread, separated cleanly from the stitching. Held under inert atmosphere. Under blacklight, it is indistinguishable from any other thread. Under the right light, everything is.

Accession 058

The Receipt of Six Tacos

A printed paper receipt, time-stamped at 11:47 PM, itemizing six soft tacos and a single side of beans. Signed in ballpoint with the word "yes." The signature has not been authenticated, because no authentication is needed.

The Prayer Wall

Leave a brief supplication. The Sanctuary preserves it on this device, in His name. He hears all submissions, even the silent ones.
